1. drakon, which is so many things i love (dragons and family drama and conversations on language and what it means to be a people) that it humbles me to read it.
2. the kids i teach and their excitement to share stories at snacktime, starting 'once upon a time ...'
3. tofu fried golden, along with a soy-maple sauce i made on a whim.
4. a cute and cozy sweater-dress.
5. loose-leaf tea in a cunning little teaball that was a gift from a friend.
6. my partner's conviction and understanding.
two things i like about myself: a friend told me the advice and assurance i gave them helped them, which is the single best thing to hear.
and despite feeling adrift and distracted earlier in the week, today i made a loose lesson plan and watered the plants and did some dishes.
