1. podcasts! particularly the philosopher's arms, a series of barroom discussions on everything from the problem of personal identity to the moral status of one's robot daughter.
2. the flare of gold and red on a tree that was green last time you looked at it.
3. the story of officer vicki thomas and jessica robles, a woman whose life was changed by an act of off-the-book generosity.
thing i like about myself: oh, man, today was a bit of a failure to get up and do anything, but i won't hold it against myself. sometimes, it's okay if the only thing you did today was breathe.
